Footprints Collaborative, LLC provides behavioral health, adaptive, educational, and community-based services for children and families throughout Skowhegan, Central Maine, and surrounding communities. We work with parents, caregivers, schools, healthcare professionals, referral partners, and community organizations seeking practical support for children with autism, developmental and learning needs, behavioral challenges, and adaptive skill needs. Our approach emphasizes collaboration, individualized care, and meaningful participation in everyday environments. By bringing together professional expertise, family involvement, and community engagement, we help children strengthen important life skills, increase independence, and develop confidence while supporting the people and systems that play a vital role in their growth and development.

Practical Support With Lasting Impact

Our philosophy centers on helping children develop skills that matter in everyday life. We focus on building confidence, independence, emotional well-being, communication, adaptive functioning, and meaningful participation within natural environments. We believe services should strengthen not only individual skills but also the support systems that help children succeed.
Where Growth, Confidence, and Independence Begin
At Footprints Collaborative, LLC, our goal is to provide each child with a safe, supportive, joyful, and engaging environment where they can learn, play, and grow. We work collaboratively with Families and our interdisciplinary team to help each child develop confidence, independence, and a positive desire to learn and strive for autonomy in day-to-day challenges.
Our environment and curriculum support the whole child and are family-centered, encompassing social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Children are given frequent opportunities to develop and practice problem-solving and social interaction skills in our structured, enriched setting and in their own home and school environments.

A Clear Path Forward

Our process begins with a comprehensive understanding of the child and family, including their unique strengths, challenges, and desired outcomes. We gather information, review strengths and needs, and collaborate with caregivers and other involved professionals to develop an individualized plan for support. Once services begin, we focus on skill development, practical strategies, ongoing communication, and consistent monitoring of progress across home, school, and community environments. As needs evolve, recommendations and supports are adjusted to ensure they remain relevant, effective, and aligned with the child's growth. Throughout the process, families remain active participants, helping shape decisions and ensuring support remains meaningful, collaborative, and focused on everyday success.

We value neurodiversity and recognize that differences in communication, behavior, learning, and experience are part of human diversity.
